London eye

The London eye was initially known as the Millennium wheel and was renamed the London eye in 2011. It is a large Ferris wheel and is is located in the British capital of London on the banks of the River Themse. It was built to celebrate the year 2000. It is 135 meter high. Building the London eye cost £75 milion. Construcktion began in 1998. The London eye moves at a speed of 0.9 km/h and takes about 30 minutes to comlete one revolution. So it doesn’t have high speed, so it doesn’t have to be stopped to get in. A special feature its that it only has the frame on one side of the wheel, which holds the in place.
